This book was picked out from my local library by my 3 year old daughter. It was my first "blind date with a book", as well as my first Danielle Steel book. I didn't think I was going to like the book because I knew it was a romance novel and I am not into mushy romance reads. To my surprise I enjoyed this book very much. Genre - Romance

It was not once of those "that only happens in books" kind of story. Blaise (the main character) goes through all sorts of different life situations with partners that could happen to anyone. I will admit that when I found out about Blaise's daughter's situation I got angry. I just don't understand how anyone could put their job before their child. Because I tend to read horror and mystery books, I kept forgetting I was reading a romance novel, and was waiting for something horrible to happen. It was a little slower reading because, although I was interested in how things were going to end, it just didn't really keep me interested as much. I mean it's a romance novel so you can kind of guess how it's going to end. I will say that I was thrown off track when I thought I had the ending figured out, then had to go and second guess myself.
